Amidst Auckland’s fashion capital of Newmarket stands the iconic and legendary Lone Star Cafe & Bar. Ten years ago, five Canterbury friends carried on the kiwi-owned brand that is known for its generous servings of great food with friendly and passionate service to the North Island and opened up Auckland’s first Lone Star restaurant.

Having recently undergone a full refurbishment, Lone Star Newmarket is still true to the original Lone Star philosophy of being staunch, proud and 100% New Zealand owned. Committed to the simple principle that dining out should be fun yet still value for money, Lone Star has been making a difference to the way people enjoy dining out in New Zealand for over 20 years.

Never compromising the finest cuts of meats, fish and chicken, the Lone Star menu still offers a number of originals as well as some of their kiwi classics. From the Dixie Chicken to the Lassoo of Hog and the iconic Redneck Ribs, these meals are still as popular as ever proving that some fads come and go but good food never goes out of fashion.
